Reflexion - Becoming Empowered

Reflexion - Becoming Empowered

By Yvonne Junor

Do you wish to feel more empowered in your life? Here are five suggestions to help you achieve that!

  1. Become physically fit, this makes you feel so much more confident in the world.

  2. Be in the company of people who have achieved success in their lives in specific roles that you aspire to. These could be people who are successful in their job, they are great parents, or have done really good work healing themselves. This may be initially intimidating, but you will pick up habits and information that will inspire you to be better.

  3. Wear clothes that you like wearing and make you feel fabulous. Let go of the clothes that no longer suit you.Take care and honour the person you are now.

  4. Every week try to do something new, scary or intimidating. Practise stepping into the ring with something new. This could be public speaking, starting a new hobby or meeting new people. The more you challenge yourself then the more you will grow. This benefits your nervous system, so if something unexpected happens, you handle it better and things get a lot less intimidating.

  5. On the days when you feel overwhelmed, think about all the things you have gone through, it can be easy to ruminate and focus on the things that didn’t work out. It is more helpful and important to focus on all the times we succeeded in the hard times and the challenges we overcame.
