Reflexion - Is Your Life Destiny Or Free Will?

REFLEXION - This topic is an on-going debate, while destiny suggests an external force (God, Karma) sets a destined force. Free will implies personal agency in setting one’s path. If you believe your soul planned this life before you wore born, do you have free will? Your soul contract, what you have agreed to do and learn and become is not random. The family that you are born into, the circumstances around you, the themes that keep repeating, those are designed to guide you to your purpose. There isn’t a lot of free will around what your soul came here to accoplish.

The free will isn’t about how consciously you choose to follow your path. You can listen to your soul’s nudges, or you can ignore them? However, when you ignore them that’s when life steps in. You may experience painful things like a job loss, unexpected pregnancy, health issues, relationship break ups or an accident. These events are not ‘karmic’ punishments, but rather ‘redirections’. Your soul is always moving towards its destiny and the Universe is always trying to guide you there. Free will doesn’t mean choosing a new destiny, it means whether you meet it with awareness or resistance?

Your life doesn’t happen to you, it is unfolding for you. So, the question isn’t if you will meet your destiny, it’s whether you will walk there consciously, or let life drag you there.

My Realisations

I have always pondered this concept, this explanation reflects my beliefs and life experience. We choose our circumstances, the lessons we need to learn and grow. The ‘earth’ school can be difficult and challenging, yet also joyous and fulfilling. We continue to meet crossroads in various stages of our lives, ultimately it is our decision how we live our ‘dharma’(our life’s purpose). Each of us can only be accountable for our actions and conscience in the space of our lives where we have free will.
