Reflexion - Wishes For The New Year

Reflexion - Wishes For The New Year

By Yvonne Junor

The beginning of a new year heralds us sending wishes of happiness and blessings to our friends and family. Their are many beliefs, traditions, superstitions associated with the dawning of the New Year. It can be a time of reflection, asking yourself how you felt about the year just gone, what do you want in the coming year.

Where do you see your life in one years time?

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results” Albert Einstein.

So, your future self is is your current self. The thoughts and actions you take now will determine who you will be in a years time. If you would like to be a happier version of yourself twelve months henceforth, here are some New Year wishes worth considering.

  1. I wish for the courage this New Year to finally let go of what hasn’t worked for a long time. We know when it’s time to step away, whether it is a relationship that has faded away or a job that drains you. Give yourself permission to change and freedom to move on.

  2. I hope this year, you allow yourself what you have been denying yourself, your whole life. To rest without guilt, to spend money on yourself, to say no, to leave without explanation.

  3. I wish for quality people in your life, who offer honesty and genuine support. Let only those who matter stay.

  4. May this year teach you not to sacrifice yourself to those who don’t value you.

  5. May this year give you the courage to live your life authentically, being true to yourself. Do not live by other’s scripts or false expectations. You wish for freedom, for the right to live the way you want.

  6. I wish to live this year so that in twelve months time I can look back in satisfaction and contentment in the life I have lived rather than just existing.

REFLEXION - My Realisations

Reflecting on this list gave me a profound sense of reflection and focus on what I want in the coming year and a determination to make the changes so I make it a year that matters.
